Dr. Castien is affiliated with the Department of General Practice & Elderly Care Medicine at Amsterdam UMC and the Department of Human Movement Science at Vrije Universiteit, Amsterdam. He also serves as a faculty member at SOMT University in Amersfoort, the Netherlands. Having completed his PhD research on manual therapy and chronic tension-type headaches, Dr. Castien is widely published and has presented his work at numerous national and international conferences. His recent research focuses on the effectiveness and mechanisms of manual therapy for headache disorders. Alongside his academic work, Dr. Castien practices as a manual therapist in a specialized primary care headache center, bringing valuable clinical experience to this course.
